Power bleaching

Power whitening involves the dentist masking the gums and lips and placing a strong bleaching agent to the teeth.

This agent is activated futher by using a strong light, and the whole process takes approximately 90 minutes. We also give you trays and a gel should you wish to top-up the effect after a few years.

During this time the teeth will become more porous and so it is not a good idea to eat or drink foods that may stain the teeth for three days (such as tea, red wine, curries, berries).

Tooth Whitening

Tooth whitening is a great way to freshen the appearance of your smile by permanently lightening the shade of your teeth without weakening them.

This works by bleaching the internal structure of the teeth using a specially formulated hydrogen peroxide agent, and although this may be slightly sensitive for a day or so, we can usually expect a six to eight shade improvement. The effects of this will be permanent, but as teeth naturally slowly get darker over time, so will the effects of the whitening.
